Recover in Half the Time with Minimally Invasive Procedures

Minimally invasive surgical techniques yield shorter recovery times, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays and less pain for women.  Some procedures are now completed using BDCH’s state-of-the-art minimally invasive robotic surgery platform, the daVinci Xi!

Our physicians use minimally invasive surgical procedures almost exclusively to remove fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic lymph nodes and for pelvic floor reconstruction.

This has decreased recovery time and pain by half. Even permanent birth control is now available through a procedure performed in less than an hour.

The Best in Continence Care

Many women suffer from overactive bladder and other symptoms giving birth or after entering their 40s. Many new surgical techniques can offer relief for this and other continence problems with little or no recovery time.

Continence treatment plans include biofeedback, pelvic floor muscle re-education, instruction in fluid intake and dietary modifications, voiding schedules, urge delay, compensatory strategies and home exercise programs.

Beaver Dam Community Hospital uses state-of-the-art rehabilitation techniques to improve the strength and coordination of muscles that control bowel and bladder activity. These techniques may also be used to alter responses that contribute to pain. A course of treatment generally requires 8-12 treatments, which are provided over 3-4 months.
