Dr. Paul Palmer Welcomes General Surgeons to BDCH Surgical Specialists
Paul Palmer, MD, of BDCH Surgical Specialists has announced that general surgeons Janie Myers, DO, and Scott A. Cassidy, MD, have joined the clinic.“I’m pleased to announce the addition of two talented surgeons to our team,” Dr. Palmer said. “They will continue to provide the safe, high-quality care that patients in our region have come to expect from BDCH Surgical Specialists.”
Dr. Myers is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Medicine, and received her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1999. She served residencies in general surgery at Midwestern University/St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Ill., and Loyola University Medical Center. Her specialties include advanced laparoscopic, endoscopic, robotic and breast surgery.
Dr. Cassidy is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va. He served a residency in general surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. His areas of expertise include basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, colorectal surgery, trauma surgery and critical care.

Dr. Palmer, who has practiced in the region since 2002 and joined BDCH in April 2015, offers a full range of general surgical options including hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, appendectomy, colon surgery, minimally invasive veins and hemorrhoid surgery, surgical options for GERD (reflux disease) and hiatal hernia, treatment of Barrett’s esophagus, endoscopy and colonoscopy, lesion removal, vasectomy and other minor office procedures.
