Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Inc. (BDCH) and Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) have taken the next step in the affiliation process by signing a definitive agreement affirming their commitment to further enhancing rural health care by expanding the current robust services offered and increasing access to high-quality, safe health care in Dodge County. The two organizations signed a letter of intent to affiliate in June 2018.
“The alignment of our missions and values and combined expertise is the start of an exciting partnership that will continue to improve the overall health of our rural communities,” said Kim Miller, FACHE, President and CEO of BDCH. “It’s exciting to reach this milestone in the affiliation process and we look forward to expanding care options locally and increasing access.”
BDCH will continue to deliver local care to those it currently serves and will expand the number of specialties and subspecialties through this affiliation, with additional access to innovative technologies, along with MCHS’s world-renowned expertise.
“This agreement represents another step in the journey to bring two well-respected organizations together and create a regional destination for high-quality health care,” said Dr. Susan Turney, CEO of Marshfield Clinic Health System. “When final, the Beaver Dam community will have greater access to more local health care services delivered by a team of world-class Marshfield Clinic Health System physicians.”
The affiliation is expected to close in the coming months. Specific terms of the affiliation are not being released.
