A Program for Every Child

Infant Program

Infants at Kids Care enjoy their own spacious nursery where a nurturing staff professionally trained in early childhood development, provides loving care. A cozy nap area, soothing rockers, enclosed outdoor play space, and a large carpeted area are available for infants exercising their crawling skills while discovering carefully selected toys.

Toddler Program

At Kids Care, toddlers can explore an environment that is safe, stimulating and completely accessible. Playtime includes being part of a group where children learn to share. Self-help skills such as toileting, feeding and dressing are part of everyday activities. Play and educational activities promotes dexterity and serves to increase vocabulary and language skills.

Pre-School Program

The growth and development of young children includes a balance of academic, social, emotional and physical skills. At Kids Care we focus on teaching “concepts” and on developing attitudes that enable a child to become an eager learner that uses their imagination and creativity. Learning activities help develop language and fine motor skills as well as begin early preparation for math and reading programs.

4-Year-Old Kindergarten Program

Affiliated with Beaver Dam Unified School District, Kids Care offers a developmentally appropriate educational program taught by State of Wisconsin DPI licensed teaching staff.  The foundation of our philosophy is for each child to develop a positive self image.  Activities promote individual growth and development as well as teach children to be a valued member of a group.  A high emphasis is placed on respect for each child as human beings whose ideas and feelings have value.

Before and After School Program

School aged children need a program that is relaxed and informal, one that contrasts with their highly structured school year. The before and after school program is more like a club than a classroom-where children are given the flexibility to choose the activities they most enjoy doing at the Center including; games, dancing, drama and arts and crafts or time for homework. Transportation to local schools is available. School-aged programming is also available on late start and off school days (i.e. Spring Break).

Summer Day Camp

Kids Care offers a Summer Day Camp Program for all children pre-k through 9 years. All children entering kindergarten in the fall qualify for this camper experience. Our staff strategically puts together a well-planned Summer Day Camp Program that will meet and challenge all ages and needs. Field trips, T-ball and other sports programs are also a part of our Day Camp Program. 

Other Services

Our affiliation with Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam offers convenient accessibility to allied health professionals. Special services offered at Kids Care includes:

• Yearly vision screening
• Yearly hearing, speech, and language screening

Children at Kids Care have the unique opportunity to participate in programs that are not routinely offered at childcare centers.
