Hillside Hospice Grief and Mourning Services

Two young women hold a framed portrait of deceased loved ones. Beaver Dam Community Hospital grief supportHillside Hospice knows that the need for support does not end with the death of the patient. Your family and friends will embark upon a journey through grief that is individual to each of them.

Hospice continues to be a resource and support, providing information and compassionate listening. Trained grief-support professionals offer a support group with others who are also on a grief journey and can understand one another and share ideas for coping.

Grief can be a lonely process. It takes time to accept a personal loss. Hillside Grief Support Services, a service of Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Inc., can help. These special programs offers you a time, a place, and caring people to help you work through your grief.

Hillside Hospice offers the following grief services free of charge and to anyone who has experienced a loss.

Hillside Grief Support Services

Hillside Hospice offers a Grief Support Group four times a year. The group meets once a week for seven weeks. Information is shared to help members understand and work through the normal process of grief. The group leaders, with special training in working with grief, provide support and encouragement, helping group members express their feelings.

Anyone who has lost a friend, family member, or loved one is encouraged to join the group. All who are grieving are welcome, no matter how long ago the loss occurred.

HUGS (Hospice Unlimited Grief Support)

HUGS is a group offered to all who have attended the Grief Support Group and wish to continue to support and socialize with others who have gone through the group. This group meets socially to support and encourage each other. A schedule is posted every six months.
