Family and Friends CPR

Beaver Dam Community Hospital is offering a free non-certified American Heart Association Family and Friends CPR class. According to American Heart, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is the act of pushing hard and fast on the chest and giving breaths to someone whose heart has stopped pumping blood.

Family and Friends is recommended for anyone including children over the age of 10 who is interested in knowing how to assist someone they love who has stopped breathing. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Learn how to:

  • Properly give CPR-compressions only for adults, compressions and breaths for children and infants
  • Properly use an AED (Automatic Electronic Defibrillator)
  • Assess and get help
  • Help someone who is choking
  • Pull it all together

The class is scheduled on Tuesday, May 7 from 5:30-7 p.m. at 130 Warren Street, Conference Room G in Beaver Dam. Please use Entrance A. To enroll call Renee at 920-887-4121.
