Anyone who has diabetes, or is interested in learning more about the condition, is invited to attend. The diabetes support group, led by a certified diabetes educator, meets on the second Monday of each month between September and May in the hospital's first-floor conference room.
April's topic is "What are antioxidants and why are they important?" Antioxidants can be found in many foods. They may play a role in preventing heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Find out which foods are rich in antioxidants and how to incorporate them in your diet.
Meetings are free and registration is not required.
