Beaver Dam Community Hospital (BDCH) has developed a Chronic Pain Support Group for people who have activity-limiting chronic illness and pain. The group will meet Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. in Conference Room G in the hospital’s Warren Street Building. Please use Entrance A.
The group is led by Susan Baumann, OTR, and will focus on self-directed healing using positive, supportive methods and techniques aimed at empowering individuals to overcome the symptoms of their chronic conditions.
The sessions are aimed at those who believe well-being can be achieved through the body’s ability to heal itself and are looking for ways to connect with other like-minded people. They address chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, lupus and more. As a complement to physician care, the group explores wellness, holistic medicine, meditation, nutrition and alternative medicine in ways that provide support to every aspect of their lives as well as those who love them.
