2016-17 Foundation Initiatives

Blue Zones Project

The way Dodge County residents view health and wellness began its transformation in 2017 as the Blue Zones Project kicked off in Beaver Dam, Horicon, Juneau and Mayville. The three-year wellness initiative sponsored by BDCH works with local volunteers to help communities make changes in policy and lifestyle that enable people to make the healthy choices the easy ones.

Volunteers around the county who share our passion for improving the health and wellness of ourselves and our neighbors have come together to find their purpose in purpose workshops, meet like-minded people during Walking Moais, hold community potlucks and cooking demonstrations featuring healthy ingredients, and organizing history walks that keep us moving naturally while engaging in our communities.

Blue Zones Project leaders and volunteers also work closely with local governments, businesses and schools to help them become Blue Zones Project Approved and provide those they serve with healthy options.

Your investment helps support this transformative project!

Hospice Home Care Services

Community-Based hospice care for 30 years

For nearly 30 years, BDCH Hillside Hospice has been dedicated to improving quality of life for the terminally ill, supporting patients and their families in making every moment count. We view it as a privilege to provide this care to our communities and provide a unique and complete support system.

Our team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, clergy and volunteers, all sharing the same goal: delivering the compassionate, supportive care families deserve as they celebrate life and say goodbye. We’re proud of our record of service, but we want to do more.

Your donation is another step toward expanding our scope of services while maintaining the excellence you’ve come to expect.
