The 12th Annual Safety First Open House will be held at Beaver Dam Community Hospital on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. until noon. The community is invited to this fun and free event.
See a MedFlight helicopter land on the BDCH Emergency Department’s Helipad, inspect an ambulance and fire trucks up close and meet local EMTs, firefighters and police officers. There will also be “fatal vision” goggle demonstrations and an onsite car seat safety check station.
The Beaver Dam Police Department will be hosting a bike rodeo and bike safety inspection, bike helmets will be given away and there will also be child ID fingerprinting and DNA kits. Blue Zones Project will have a bike blender and share the Power 9. Bring the entire family as old and young alike will be entertained.
There will be plenty of information about enhancing the safety and health of your family members provided by the BDCH Medical Clinics, Emergency and Food and Nutrition departments, as well as many other community organizations. This information will be set up inside the main entrance of the hospital and in the conference center.
