Kid's Care Childcare Center

Welcome to Kids Care Childcare Center Kids Care is Beaver Dam Community Hospital’s premiere childcare center located at 1200 N. Center St. in the city of Beaver Dam. The state-licensed center provides childcare services for children aged six weeks through 9 years. Infant, toddler and preschool daycare services are available Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Kids Care also offers two flexible programs for school-aged children; a relaxed and informal before and after school program and a structured summer day camp program.

We believe that childhood is a happy, vibrant period of life when children are naturally motivated to investigate and explore everything around them. Our goal is to help children learn and develop by providing a rich environment together with our professional staff of teachers who encourage spontaneous curiosity and imagination.

Our Philosophy
The foundation of our philosophy is for each child to develop a positive self-image. Activities promote individual growth and development as well as teach children to be a valued member of a group. A keynote of the Kids Care Center is the high emphasis placed on respect for each child as human beings whose ideas and feelings have value.

Admission Requirements
Children are accepted in the order of availability with priority given to the children of Beaver Dam Community Hospital employees and to families who request full time enrollment. Minimum attendance for children is 2 days per week for at least 5 hours each day. Kids Care will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex or special needs. State and federal regulations require a complete physical examination and an up-to-date immunization record for admission to the center. Both the parent and the child are encouraged to tour the center prior to admission.

Parental Involvement
Parent involvement is important. Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled twice a year in the spring and the fall. Parents are encouraged to speak with teachers and/or the Kids Care Director at any time regarding questions, concerns and suggestions. Several planned activities provide an opportunity for parents to be actively involved.
