The American Heart Association courses provide information about heart disease,
risk factors, signals and actions for survival, and prudent heart living. They
also instruct in CPR, management of foreign-body airway obstruction and
importance of using barrier devices.
American Heart Association CPR classes are offered on a regular basis
and may include any of the following:
Heartsaver Course: This course teaches in
one-rescuer CPR and choking. The pediatric course also includes child
injury prevention and safety, child CPR, and first aid for choking
infants and children.
Healthcare Provider Course: This course instructs the healthcare professional in one- and two- rescuer CPR, management of
foreign-body airway obstruction for the adult, child, and infant, use of barrier
devices, bag-mask ventilation, and operation of an automatic external defibrillator
(AED)
CPR for Family and Friends: This course teaches the general public
the following: Adult, Pediatric, or both Adult and Pediatric
CPR and choking. The Pediatric CPR will also include injury prevention and
safety for infants and children.
American Heart Association First Aid Classes:
Classes will be offered based on community interest. Please call the Community
