Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Inc. to Open Two New Family Medicine Clinics

On February 22, 2010, two new family medicine clinics will begin serving patients in Beaver Dam. Beaver Dam Community Hospitals, Inc. is opening the clinics to help meet a regional need for more family medicine physicians, and the clinics are now accepting appointments for new patients. Both clinics will serve patients of all ages and offer appointments Monday through Friday, including during the noon hour. Three days a week, the clinics will take appointments later into the evening.

With a combined sixty three years of health care experience, the practitioners at the 148 Warren Street clinic are MaryAnn Gonzalez, MD; Holly Schneider, FNP-BC, APNP; and Rene Gellings, PA-C.

Dr. Gonzalez has thirteen years of health care experience and is a family medicine physician focusing on the entire spectrum of family medicine with an emphasis on adult internal medicine. Holly Schneider, afamily practice nurse practitioner, also has worked in health care for thirteen years. And Rene Gellings has served in health care for 37 years, fifteen of them as a physician assistant.

Dr. Akxay Patel and Dr. Rina Patel will see patients at the clinic at 109 Warren Street. With a focus on preventive medicine, Akxay Patel, DO brings to the practice thirteen years of experience in family practice. And Rina Patel, MD has been practicing family medicine for ten years and specializes in women’s health.

To make an appointment at the BDCH Medical Clinic at 148 Warren Street, please call (920) 887-5975. Appointments will be made Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 a.m. Evening appointments will be available on Mondays and Thursdays with the last patient appointment at 6:30 p.m.

For an appointment at 109 Warren Street, the number to call is (920) 887-4819. Appointments will be made starting at 9:00 a.m. each weekday except Tuesday. On Tuesdays, the first appointments will be for 10:00 a.m. Evening appointments will be available on Tuesdays with the last patient appointment at 5:30 p.m.
